Dr. Paul Wiggins D.C.
In 1983 I began my Chiropractic education because I had always experienced remarkable results from outstanding chiropractors for sports injuries, neck pain, back pain and sciatica. I continue to receive regular spine and sports chiropractic care that helps give me longevity in a physical profession. I completed my Doctorate of Chiropractic degree in 1987 and immediately experienced success with the model of spine and sports injury care for patient’s presenting with a wide range of conditions. The detailed knowledge of the entire nervous and musculoskeletal systems combined with integrating the art and science of spinal and joint manipulation has provided me with an extremely rewarding career as a sports injury and family chiropractor. I have pursued extensive post-graduate training in sports-injury care and soft-tissue rehabilitation with Active Release Technique (ART) since 2001. I became an ART Instructor in 2006 and teaching ART to chiropractors, massage therapists and physiotherapists has became a very rewarding experience. These additional tools and techniques are instrumental in being a comprehensive team chiropractor/trainer and clinician. I have worked with men’s and women’s soccer teams, dancers, gymnasts, track and field, triathletes and runners of all types; from amateur to highly competitive athletes and professionals as well as musicians and workers who suffer repetitive strain injuries. I also enjoy public speaking and have guest-lectured on topics which include running injuries, gait biomechanics, healthy aging, inflammation and exercise as well as promoting fitness and optimal training methods for North Shore Athletics and the Running room.
